REI Film Series: Always in Season

  • Online (RSVP for link) (map)

This FREE film streaming, part of our 2020 Racial Equity & Inclusion Film Series, will be available online, and spots are limited to allow you to participate in a 7:30pm live discussion with director/producer Jacqueline Olive!

In this documentary, Claudia Lacy wants answers. When her 17-year-old son, Lennon, was found hanging from a swing set in Bladenboro, North Carolina, the authorities quickly ruled his death a suicide. In light of suspicious details surrounding his death, and certain that her son would not take his own life, Claudia is convinced Lennon was lynched.

RSVP to receive an email invitation for the online film screening and discussion. Please only RSVP if you plan to both view the film and participate in the discussion.

This third annual Racial Equity & Inclusion Film Series continues to welcome new participants into our neighborhood’s journey of understanding and demanding racial equity. Diversity and social justice are core values of DSCDO, and systemic racism is antithetical to our vision of diverse, sustainable, and desirable neighborhoods where all people thrive. This series is in partnership with the Capitol Theatre, the only historic movie theatre on Cleveland’s west side.
