What we do

DSCDO is a non-profit 501(c)3 community development corporation, founded in 1973 to catalyze development in Cleveland’s Detroit Shoreway neighborhood.

Today, the organization provides comprehensive community development services to over 50,000 residents in six Cleveland neighborhoods: the Detroit Shoreway, Cudell and Edgewater neighborhoods through the Detroit Shoreway Neighborhood office, and the Stockyard, Clark-Fulton and Brooklyn Centre neighborhoods through the Metro West office.

In addition, DSCDO’s Real Estate Development department develops affordable housing and mixed-use projects. Our Property Management Department provides stewardship and maintenance for the 16 buildings owned by DSCDO. Our Administrative Services staff provide accounting, HR and other core services, with a specialization in tax credit and affordable housing finance.
